Cape Cod Massage – Top Body Therapy, Promote Relaxation, Best Tissue Massage. The body of water located between Cape Cod and the mainland, bordered to the north by Massachusetts Bay, is Cape Cod Bay; west of Cape Cod is Buzzards Bay. The Cape Cod Canal, completed in 1916, connects Buzzards Bay to Cape Cod Bay; it shortened the trade route between New York and Boston by 62 miles. To the south of Cape Cod lie Nantucket Sound; Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, both large islands, and the mostly privately owned Elizabeth Islands. In the 17th century the designation Cape Cod applied only to the tip of the peninsula, essentially present-day Provincetown. Over the ensuing decades, the name came to mean all the land east of the Manomet and Scusset rivers - essentially the line of the 20th century Cape Cod Canal. Now, the complete towns of Bourne and Sandwich are widely considered to incorporate the full perimeter of Cape Cod, even though small parts of these towns are located on the west side of the canal.Cape Cod Massage – Top Body Therapy, Promote Relaxation, Best Tissue Massage

CapeCod - Massage for Mind-Body Healing

It's been said, "Our issues are in our tissues." Indeed, emotions are stored in the body, and often results in a sense of relief or letting go. Bodywork recipients may even cry during a treatment, when the practitioner works a certain muscle and "hits a nerve," so to speak. Understanding how the body holds emotions is key to letting go of the baggage and creating space for the body to heal.

What is a Swedish Massage?

The term refers to a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. Swedish was developed in the 1700's by a Swedish doctor named Per Henrik Ling.

Purpose Of Swedish Massage

The main purpose of Swedish is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles. Swedish shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It increases circulation without increasing heart load. It stretches the ligaments and tendons keeping them supple and pliable. Swedish also stimulates the skin and nervous system and soothes the nerves themselves at the same time. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress management. It also has many specific medical uses.

What is Trigger Point Therapy?

Trigger point therapy is a bodywork technique that involves the applying of pressure to tender muscle tissue in order to relieve pain and dysfunction in other parts of the body. Sometimes trigger point therapy are performed together. Trigger point therapy is also called myofascial trigger point therapy. It was developed by Dr. Janet Travel in the United States in the 1940s.

Trigger points differ from acupressure points. Acupressure points are concentrations of energy or blockages of the body's energy pathways. Trigger points are physical phenomena that can be felt by touch. The pain caused by trigger points may be the biggest cause of disability and loss of time in the workplace.

I have spent many years studying and practicing. During that time, I've seen how massage therapy benefits me and the people around me. I hope that everyone will be able to make therapy part of their life and enjoy its benefits.
